The Shire of Iron Ox is located in Jackson, MS. Iron Ox is a chapter of an international organization dedicated to the research and recreation of pre-17th century European history called the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA).
The SCA is a not-for-profit, educational organization wherein the members learn from "hands on" participation and conduct classes and/or demonstrations where they teach others what they have learned. Read More.
The Shire of Iron Ox is located in the central region of the Kingdom of Gleann Abhann. It was founded in A.S. XIII and continues to thrive today. Members currently meet Sundays at 1.30 p.m. at the Jamie Fowler Boyd Park. (Lakeland Dr. Next to Smith Wills Stadium and Jackson City Fire Station). The time and place of meetings may change during the year due to weather and availablity of meeting location. Please check the calendar for more information or contact the Seneschal for details.
